What the Pantech Discover Can Do…

pantech-discoverThe Discover actually has an awful lot going for it. It is the faster phone, coming with a 1500 MHz processor as compared to the slower 800 MHz processor on the iPhone, making it more powerful, snappier and more responsive. It also gets faster maximum data speeds, which usually results in quicker downloading and faster opening of web pages. The Pantech has the larger screen, by a big margin, it measures in at a massive 4.8 inches as opposed to the mere 3.5 inch screen on the iPhone. Plus, it’s a TFT LCD screen, rather than the older LCD screen on the iPhone, so it’s brighter and has more vivid colour reproduction. Finally, it also has a much better camera. The in-built camera on the Discover is a massive 12.6 MP device, versus the standard 8 MP cam on the iPhone, meaning that photos taken on the Pantech are simply better quality and have more fine detail than those taken on the iPhone. So the Pantech has some serious advantages. But can the iPhone match up?

What the iPhone 4S Can Do…

Obviously, the iPhone is smaller, but given the huge discrepancy in screen size, that doesn’t come as a huge surprise. It iphone4sdoes have the possibility of having a lot more internal storage. The Pantech comes with 16 GB of memory, the iPhone with anywhere between 8 GB and 64 GB depending on which model you get and how much you’re willing to spend. So that can mean a lot more music, photos and videos that can be stored on your device. But that’s pretty much it for the iPhone.

What Should I Go For?

We recommend ignoring the brand name and going for the Pantech Discover. It’s a great phone, faster with a better camera, as well as having a bigger and better quality screen. When it comes to choosing a phone, these are all important considerations. Sure, the iPhone is a great model, but iPhone 4 prices are still pretty high and it will set you back a lot more than paying for the Pantech; and the Discover just has better features anyway. Why settle for less at a higher price?
